2012 Malivoire Guilty Men White – LCBO 192666 – $14.95 – I recently tasted this wine when I was entertaining for a fairly large group of people. No matter how hard you try it’s rare to find something that is a Universal crowd pleaser… we all have that friend who is extra picky about what they drink. Be that as it may this wine was served in my house and was unanimously celebrated.
This is a blend of Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay with a nice crisp acidity and flavours that go from Pineapple to Peach this wine should pair will with lighter fare from the grill. This wine definitely falls into the category of “should be enjoyed on it’s own”
2012 Inniskillin Pinot Noir Rosé – VINTAGES 336461 – $14.95 – Pinot Noir makes great Rosé. Pinot when it is made into Red Wine is already fairly light and easy drinking, but can be quite heavy with earthy flavours on the finish. This wine is loaded with Cherry and Raspberry aromas with even more Cherry on the tongue. This wine is very light and very dry and very easy drinking. A nice clean finish keeps this food friendly with just about anything, but being summer pair it barbeque.
