Drappier Brut Nature Zero Dosage – Vintages 179275 – $59.95 – ****+ – This is an exceptional bottle of Champagne and coming in under sixty dollars it offers great value. I’m a big fan of opening more bubbles without the special occasion so if you need an excuse buying this bottle to enjoy in itself would be a great reason to celebrate. Aromas are brioche and lemon. The texture to this wine is rich and concentrated. The citrus flavours are met with a more subtle appearance of orchard fruit. This may seem like an odd suggestion but I’m a huge fan of steak and champagne – something about a fatty cut like ribeye being met with bright crisp acidity helps to keep the palate refreshed.
