2011 Lailey Chardonnay – VINTAGES 193482 – $19.95 – This is a very soft easy drinking Chardonnay from Lailey. Nice balance between flavours of Peach and Apple with lots of flavours of Vanilla and Butterscotch on the finish. A nice lingering finish that doesn’t hang around too long. Fantastic value here for a wine that will pair well with Chicken or Pasta with Cream Sauce.
2008 Frogpond Farm Cabernet – VINTAGHES 352401 – $15.00 – This is a BIG red wine. At fifteen dollars it’s terrific value from the vintages section. Lots of flavours of Black Currant and Plum with a nice long finish. My notes on this wine simply say “Red Meat Wine”, so pair this with a nice chunk of beef whether it’s a steak of a roast.
