2016 13th Street Cabernet/merlot – Vintages 056598 – $19.95 – **** – Juicy and lush red fruit with very soft tannin. This is very easy drinking and a great reminder that not every bottle of red wine from a stellar vintage in Ontario needs to spend time in a cellar to make you happy.
2017 Nomad Sauvignon Blanc – Vintages 446088 – $16.95 – **** – There is a strong case being made for Sauvignon Blanc from the province of Ontario, this is easily adds another great point in that argument. The beautiful citrus and tropical flavours are met with a slight grassiness. Save a couple dollars off your usual NZ bottle and grab something from your own backyard.
