Wine Review - 2017 Peninsula Ridge Beal Vineyard Cabernet Rosé - 2014 Eastdell Estates Black Label Viognier

2014 Eastdell Estates Black Label Viognier – Vintages 443622 – $17.95 – **** – White flower is layered over apple and citrus on the nose. On the palate there is a nice mineral note that meets a weighty texture on the palate. This is another great example for the case of Viognier in the province. The clean finish makes this incredibly food friendly and something to match with grilled pork or chicken from the bbq.

2017 Peninsula Ridge Beal Vineyard Cabernet Rosé – Vintages 177840 – $14.95 – **** – This is one bottle I have come to look forward to seeing on the LCBO shelves because of the outstanding value it brings. This is a dry Rosé that brings cranberry, raspberry, strawberry, and citrus. There is a slight red pepper jelly note that starts to poke through on the mid palate and finish. The savory note has me thinking about pairing this with barbeque of any kind – whether beef, chicken, fish, or pork. I really can’t think of anything off my grill that this wouldn’t pair nicely with.
