Wine Review - 2016 Henry of Pelham Estate Pinot Noir

2016 Henry of Pelham Estate Pinot Noir – Vintages 268391 – $24.95 – ****+ – At any price this would be an outstanding bottle of PInot from Ontario, but it’s even more exciting that this is coming in under twenty five dollars. The aromas are rich cherry and heavy violet perfume. The nose on this wine just oozes out of the glass, and when you take your first sip it opens up in your mouth without restraint or apologies – lush cherry, and blackberry are met with a hint of damp spring forest floor. The tannin is velvet, and while this has great acidity and certainly the structure to age for a few years in a cellar I would enjoy this right now.
