This review wraps up a tour through the Wildass portfolio that delivers hits with no misses. While people know that I’m a fan of VQA Sauvignon Blanc it’s no secret that I am an open skeptic towards Merlot. This Merlot does not disappoint as it’s very ripe and juicy with loads of raspberry, strawberry and cherry flavours. Merlot of this quality from Ontario at this price point is unheard of. Crowd pleasing and easy drinking this will make a welcome addition to any dinner party and should be served with roast beef or steak.
The Sauvignon Blanc delivers typical citrus flavours and a little bit of subtle creaminess on the finish. As with its merlot brother fantastic bang for buck and will pair well with seafood dishes of any sort.
