2013 Adobe Reserva Merlot – LCBO 322024 – $13.05 – ***1/2 – Medium bodied and easy drinking. Fruit forward with lots of Cherry, Strawberry and Plum. This is a crowd pleasing wine that is unpretentious. While this wine likely won’t age gracefully some wines aren’t meant to line the walls of your cellar. Enjoy this right away right from the bottle with pizza, pasta or burgers.
2014 Adobe Reserva Sauvignon Blanc – LCBO 266049 – $13.05 – ***1/2 – Chilean Sauvignon Blanc is bright crisp and strikes a perfect balance between more herbacious New Zealand wines and the bright crisp acidity of a sancerre. Flavours of lime with gooseberry and very slight chopped herb and bell pepper on the finish. You end up with a wine that is easy drinking on it’s own or will make a nice match to freshly shucked oysters and seafood.
