2015 Vineland Estates Elevation St. Urban Vineyard Riesling – Vintages 38117 – $19.95 – ****½ – This is something I look forward to every year. This is off-dry but perfectly balanced with acidity. I would put it to anyone who says they don’t like sweet wines to give this a try. This is something that pairs perfect with perogies, sauerkraut and sausages. Wines like these shouldn’t be saved for hot weather they belong on your table in the winter.
2011 Tawse Grower’s Blend Pinot Noir – Vintages 130989 – $25.25 – **** – The nose is heavy and floral layered over dried cherry and cranberry. The nose is just heavy and powerful but when you take your first sip this does become light and elegant. The floral note in this wine goes from note to finish, and there is a nice earthiness to the finish. Perfectly balanced with great acidity.
