2020 Back 10 Cellars Blood Sweat and Years – ****1/2 – $34.95 – Hot vintages can be a challenge for think skinner persnickity Pinot Noir. That never seems to be the case at Back 10 Cellars. Taking a look at my past notes I constantly write about how Andrew and Christina Brooks seem to make this wine better year after year regardless of vintage conditions. It seems that the 2020 vintage of this wine is no exception – how high can the push the bar? At the modest price shy of $35 dollars this screams insane value compared to other bottles of Pinot from Ontario of similar quality. Fruit is rich with notes of blackberry, and ripe cherry on the palate – mated with perfectly balanced acid, and soft tannin this has the recipe for a fantastic cellar worthy Pinot. Drink now, or hold up to 2032.
