2017 Flat Rock Gravity – LCBO 1560 – $34.95 – ****½ – Gravity is one of those wines that I always look forward to tasting. But I was not expecting to be speechless when I live tasted this wine on a recent podcast. The depth of this wine the moment it touches your lips feels endless. The aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, violets, and slight earthiness climb out of the glass with intensity. The texture on the palate is liquid silk. This may be the best vintage of gravity I have ever tasted. Something you can easily enjoy now, but I am looking forward to seeing how this is going to evolve in a cellar over the next few years. Recently released in vintages I would rush to get my hands on it, as I don’t expect this to sit on the shelves for long.
