2014 Peninsula Ridge Barrel Aged Chardonnay – Vintages 211490 – $15.95 – **** – It’s too bad you’re just reading these words … because if you could see me I’m doing a happy dance at another great bottle of Ontario Chardonnay that comes in under twenty dollars. This is for the fans of the barrel driven Chardonnay there is a lot of toasty oak on the nose and in the glass. To get the most out of this bottle you have to make sure you don’t chill it too much. If you serve this wine too cold it will taste all like wood and the fruit will be buried. Put this in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving and you should be good to go. Toasty Oak and Vanilla will peel back and make way to Peach and Pineapple when you serve this lightly chilled. Enjoy this with creamy pasta, roasted chicken or on its own.
