2012 Two Sisters Cabernet Sauvignon – Winery Only – $62.00 – ****+ – This is the first of the 2012 Red wines to be offered from Two Sisters. The vines are still quite young from the winery but the bottle doesn’t know that. The nose is rich and heavy from an exceptional vintage with Blueberry, Blackberry, Currant and just hints of Cedar and Smoke. The flavours match with hints of mocha bringing up the finish on this wine with nice acidity on the finish. This will make a great food wine for roasted red meat. I’ll be honest the price on this wine is a little steep but you can taste the potential in the winemaking. It’s obvious that there is no expense spared not only in the facility where the wine is made but in the process itself. If the wines are tasting this good on five year old vines I can only imagine how they are going to taste in the future. Buying a bottle of this Cab Sauv is like getting a sneak preview of what is to come.
Can I buy it in the states…drinking it now…. wish we purchased more!
