2013 Mima’s Block Riesling – $18.20 – Winery Only – **** – This would be the “serious” Riesling from Rosewood. It’s very dry but nice and balanced. There are nice mineral notes on the nose with lemon and lime. This is a very well balanced Rieslng. This will be an excellent wine to pair with Chicken, Pork … honestly I could run down the list but this will pair with just about anything except the reddest of meats.
2014 Süssreserve Riesling – $14.95 – Vintages 258806 – ***1/2+ – This is the fun one. I always look forward to keeping the Süss in my house year round. It’s off-dry, light and fruity. The citrus flavours are in the glass but you get a lot more apple and peach. Compared to previous vintages 2014 is softer on the palate. This still drinks a little too easy and will be a great patio sipper for the summer.
