2012 Featherstone Cabernet Franc – Vintages 64618 – $17.95 – Blackberry, Blueberry and Raspberry on the nose and palate. A nice smoky finish that lingers with very firm tannin. This wine will need some time in a decanter to soften and bring out some more of the fruit flavours. This will pair well with rare roast beef, or lamb dishes.
2011 G. Marquis The Silver Line Chardonnay – Vintages 258681 – $17.95 – We have had a fantastic trend of great value Chardonnay’s coming in under the twenty dollar mark. Great balance of Apple and Peach wiht a kiss of smoke and toasty oak on the finish. This is a great friday night sipper with no food pairing necessary.
