Union Rose – LCBO 275685 – $13.95 – Spring is in the air… err the bottle. I am very excited about the warmer weather as most people switch to lighter wines. Rosé is the swiss army knife of the wine world. Serve chilled, but it is still very good as it warms up in the glass. Whether you are cooking lighter fare such as chicken or fish it will match up great… but if you decide to toss some red meat on the grill you still have a wine to match. Flavours of Strawberry and Rhubarb with a nice lingering finish and just a little bit of sugar on the finish balanced with nice palette cleansing acidity.

Norman Hardie 2011 County Pinot Noir Unfiltered – VINTAGES 125310 – $35.00 – Last year the 2010 Unfiltered Pinot Noir was the most expensive bottle of wine I bought. As much as I don’t like spending much more than $20 on a bottle of wine I will happily fork over the cash if it’s worth it. I’m cheap… but I love value! This is a wine that is sure to impress. Filled with flavours of Raspberry and Cherry… it will be difficult to take your first sip because the aroma on this wine is just so good. This is the wine to bring to your table to impress.
