2017 Pelee Island Cabernet Franc – LCBO 433714 – $13.45 – ***½+ – If I had to give one criticism to this bottle it’s the packaging that is in bad need of a facelift. I have a rule in my house that I won’t cook with anything I won’t drink – It can be a challenge finding those bargain bottles from the LCBO if you’re committed to stocking up on VQA – but Pelee island always delivers on quality and value with their VQA offerings. This Cabernet Franc offers something a little riper and juicier than you would expect from Niagara. This bottle is a great reminder that I need to spend some more time in the front of the LCBO in the general list.
