2015 Henry of Pelham Cuvée Catharine Carte Blanche – Vintages 315200 – $49.95 – ****+ – The top tier sparkling wine from Henry of Pelham continues to deliver the goods. The aromas are bright citrus, apple, and rising bread. The texture on the palate is a little more rich than previous vintages of this wine. Slight spice notes start to push through on the mid palate. It really feels like every sip brings another level of complexity to your mouth when you dive into this bottle. Even coming in just under fifty dollars this screams great value – something that would make a great gift for the holidays or something to enjoy yourself. I regret that I haven’t had the patience to cellar any previous vintages of this wine – but the extra complexity from this vintage has me planning on holding a few for 5-10 years to see how it will evolve.
