2012 Norman Hardie Unfiltered County Pinot Noir – Vintages 125310 – $39.00 – You won’t find much of this left at the LCBO as it snuck under my radar when it was released in October of last year, but you can still get your hands on some from the winery directly. Norman Hardie’s Pinot Noir is something that everyone needs to experience. If you’re not a fan of Pinot Noir I defy you to tell me you don’t like this wine … and if you’ve never had a wine from Prince Edward County THIS is the perfect place to start. Loads of Cherry balanced with nice acidity. This is another wine that I wouldn’t pair with anything but will make a great match with Pizza (if you make it to the winery make sure you check out the fantastic pizza made onsite during the summer) or duck of any kind.
If you’re able you might be able to find some of this wine at the Evergreen Brickworks Farmers Market on Saturday Mornings.
