2013 The Foreign Affair The Conspiracy – Vintages 149237 – $19.95 – **** – This is a very good follow up to the 2012 vintage. Roasted herb with ripe strawberry and raspberry on the nose. The flavours in this wine are Strawberry, Raspberry and black plum with a nice hint of cocoa on the finish. The herbacious notes on the nose let you know there is Cab Franc in the bottle. All the fruit flavours are very ripe with nice acidity on the finish. This is made in the ripasso style so the fruit flavours are very concentrated in the glass without being too heavy. Simply put this wine is an elegant follow up and should age nicely for 3-7 years. This will make a great match to roast beef, barbecued beef ribs or lamb… the herbacious notes in this wine make it a perfect match with any red meat.
