Westcott Violette Brut – $24.95 – Winery Only – ***1/2+ – Bright, fresh, and young. This easy drinking sparkling has loads of citrus and lemon with crisp acidity on the finish. This is a welcome addition to the growing landscape of great Ontario sparkling wines. This is very well priced, at this price this can be added to my arsenal of Sparkling wines that I believe should not be saved for special occasions. Sparkling wine can pair with anything! For this reason alone we should be drinking more sparkling wine year round.
2014 Chateau des Charmes Cuvée D’Andrée – Boutique Shops or Winery – $14.95 – ***1/2+ – Speaking of wines that can pair with anything the new Cuvée D’Andrée is released and available at the winery or at the Chateau des Charmes boutiques located in Toronto and Ottawa.
