2010 Vineland Chardonnay Musqué – VINTAGES 996793 – $17.95 – I am getting an early start on Mothers` Day. This year my motto is why by Mom flowers when you can give her flowers in a bottle. What I mean by this is this wine has an incredible aroma of wild flower in the glass. There are many great Musqués being made in Ontario right now and one of my favorite things about this grape is the aroma. Combined with wonderful flavors of Citrus and Peach and just a little bit of residual sugar balanced with a nice acidity make this a great gift for mom.
2010 Peninsula Ridge Merlot – LCBO 61101 – $14.95 – This is a great, dry Merlot that is filled with ripe red fruit flavours of cherry and plum. This wine strikes a nice balance with flavours of subtle Oak on the finish. A very smooth easy drinking Merlot that will pair well Beef.
