Wine Review May 31 – 2012 Henry of Pelham Family Tree Red – 2011 Vineland Estates Chardonnay Musqué

2012 Family Tree Red – Vintages 247882 – $18.95 – I have enjoyed every vintage of the Family Tree Red wines from Henry of Pelham, but this is a standout.  Great black pepper and spice finish to this wine that is mostly Shiraz and lots of Cherry and Plum flavours for a Red that will pair perfect with Steak off the grill.  This is drinking very well now but should last for a few years in the cellar.

2011 Vineland Chardonnay Musqué – Vintages 996793 – $17.95 – I am a big fan of Chardonnay Musqué… nothing really tastes like it.  Musqué has floral qualities on the nose and lots of great tropical fruit.  This will be your wine to pair with Chicken or Pork Souvlaki from the grill.
