Wine Review June 3, 2012 – 2008 Frogpond Farm Organic Cabernet Franc/Merlot – 2011 Rosehall Run Sullyzwicker White

2008 Frogpond Farm Organic Cabernet Franc/Merlot – VINTAGES 203554 – $19.95 –  I am very conscious of what I eat and drink, but I am by no means one of those people who swear by Organic foods.  That being said I am convinced there is something to it when you are dealing with Organic Wines.  I can’t quite pinpoint the reason, but every single wine I have had that is Organic has been well worth the money.  Strong notes of black pepper give you an aroma and taste that is spicy!  Underneath that you get flavours of Raspberry and Blackberry.  This is truly for the Cabernet Franc fans.

2011 Rosehall Run Sullyzwicker White – LCBO 214478 – $14.95 – This is a white wine to truly get excited about.  A dry blended white that is Crisp, and Light.  This has a lower acidity so you get flavours that linger a little longer on the palette.  Melon and Granny Smith Apple are what you will find in this bottle.  The interesting thing about this wine is the intensity of the fruit flavours without being overpowering but without any lingering sweetness on the tongue.
