2013 White House Wine Co. Riesling/Pinot Grigio – LCBO 219022 – $12.95 – ***1/2 – Bright, crisp and easy drinking.  I will follow the rules as set out on the back of this bottle by not talking about the specific ratios of the grapes in this bottle.  I opened this while I was serving homemade pizza.  It made a great match with Ham and Pineapple (using fresh pineapple).  The flavours are mainly citrus with pear and peach in this very dry wine.  The acidity in this wine makes it so you get just a kiss of sugar on the back of your tongue while drinking.

2011 Featherstone Select Late Harvest Cabernet Franc – Vintages 210757 – $19.95 – **** – Icewine and late harvest from red grapes is something special.  If you haven’t had the chance to try it now is your chance.  Noticeably less sweet than Icewine this wine is a berry bomb in your glass.  You get Raspberry, Blueberry with hints of Licorice on the finish.  This will make a great match to Blue Cheese, Aged Cheddar and Paté.  This will also make a great match to a pork roast if you decide to serve it with the Entrée.
