2015 La Crema Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir – Vintages 719435 – $29.95 – **** – This brings a signature of California on the nose and on the palate. However, this does retain a nice acidity that keeps this from being a little too heavy and overbearing. The flavours are dark cherry, plum, blackberry and there is a nice spice and licorice note… In short this is a complex wine. I certainly wouldn’t call this wine elegant … but it’s not really meant to be. The depth and weight of this wine makes it a great match for barbecued red meats.
