Wine Review September 11, 2011 – Pelee Island Monarch – Strewn Barrel Aged Chardonnay

2009 Pelee Island Monarch – LCBO 107763 – $10.45 – This is an interesting blend of Baco Noir, Marechal Foch and Zweigelt.  Not a very typical combination of grapes.  As I aid this morning though this wine is one of the reasons I do my reviews featuring Ontario wines.  In my mind a good Baco Noir is the signature of Ontario.  The thing I love about Baco is the earthiness found in the bottle.  This…
