2012 Riverview Angelina’s Reserve Gewurztraminer – $18.95 – I love a great Gewurztraminer, it’s one of those white wines that I enjoy year round.  It’s a perfect match for Perogies in the winter and great to sip on the patio in the summer.  This is a very intense Gewurztraminer, there is very intense rose on the nose.  The flavours are very intense tropical with lychee and rosewater with just slight sweetness on the finish.  Hard to spell easy to drink.

2012 Riverview Salvatore’s Reserve Syrah – $29.95 – To think I had given up on Syrah until recently.  Lots of very ripe (key word being ripe) raspberry and plum with spice on the finish.  To be honest this almost drinks a little too easy especially when matched up with any sort of red meat on the grill.
