2014 Lacey Estates Pinot Gris – $19.95 – Winery Only – ****+ – It’s pink! It’s fluorescent pink in the bottle! But this is NOT a Rosé. It doesn’t happen often but you can get plain Pinot Gris with a pink hue. Pink Pinot Gris is a magic thing, and everyone needs to know about it. This wine offers up aromas of apples and melon. The best part about this wine is the texture. A heavy, oily texture fills your whole palate and helps make sure you don’t miss any of the flavours. In spite of the weighty texture everything about this wine is subtle and elegant. This is only available at the winery and to be honest I would plan a trip to the winery just to get my hands on this magic bottle.
